I have an addiction I'm 66 yrs old have had 54 cars 30 of them were new so caddy is under warranty till end of 29 either a scout or another caddy will be in my garage if I'm still alive by end of 29 time will tell but either way Santa's coming again !!!
I'm 62 and haven't had that many cars, but I have to say that EVs are way better designed with very low total cost of ownership (TCO).

I love my low cost of owning a 2018 Honda Clarity PHEV that gets driven in EV mode 90% of the time, not using the gas except for a long distance drive.
This will get passed onto my son as he loves Honda.

Ford BEV with 45,000 miles at is my daily driver and the 230 mile range is more than I need for a week.

The only reasons I am keeping my BEV is that the maintenance has been almost free - except for tires and wiper blades. Brakes are still at 85%. Tesla Supercharger access for almost 2 years has been a godsend while on road trips.

Ours was reserved 7/14/20 @ 0832, built 1/11/22, delivered 1/28/22, and murdered on 6/18/25. She was replaced with a '25.
Ah so you were one of those "other people" I was referring to!
My wife is sort of itching to get rid of it. It is her car primarily, anyway.
Not sure she can hold out for the Scout (that I'm not even sure she wants) if there do end up being some substantial delays.
I love the Bronco though. I may try to find a way to keep it...

O oh, BAD news for dealers and part of the reason for the pushback on DTC ( can get most of this maintenance anywhere).

IF the major service issues can be handled by manufacturers service centers or third parties (a big IF but going to a dealer service department with a EV is already a crap shoot) we will be good.
