New Competition?

I saw this come up today. Looks like the Traveler has a little bit of competition, though it's range is projected to be inferior to that projected for the Traveler EV. The sunroof and interior concept seems to closely mirror what the Traveler is expected to have. I really hope the Harvester isn't delayed too long as that will set it apart and Keep could easily steal market share.

Personally not a fan, don’t care for the front end especially.

I don’t understand the sub 250 mile range with a battery that big. My Fisker can get up to 320 in perfect weather with a 113kwh battery (106 useable). I would think new tech would help this along but after reading many posts here on this forum over the last year that most folks aren’t going to buy a sub 300 mile range car, especially for going off-roading when you need the power and stamina. I’m sure though that big-ass tires (not LRR ones) and giving the rig so much power is part of that. In this case, fun is priority over range. But there’s things like Eco mode in other cars which should help things like this. Curious to see how they sell.

Still, new designers are also going with screen controls. Haven’t the masses mostly said we want physical knobs? The reviewer alluded to something like that in the video, as well as a funny decision to only have 150 w AC outlets , that’s nuthin.

This is a step in the right direction but it's not swaying my vote. Lack of physical buttons being a strong objection and honestly the styling is pretty bad. I'm not a fan of plastic trimmed wheel surrounds and don't understand why so many manufacturers are adding that to their design.
I do like the removable windows although the tool less design means they have huge handles on the glass so I'm sure that will be annoying for visibility. I also like the retractable soft top. It's a fun feature I reminisce about from my life in Italy.
I'm hangin on to the Scout reservation for now but man this site is pretty flat in general. I think most people are moving on so I'm not holding my breathe.

It appears for the Mountainside version they've removed the convertible sunroof in favor of a giant piece of glass, which does not appear to open. I certainly hope this is chromatic glass that can be made opaque or has a shade, otherwise the area will become an oven. The interior is very nice looking, which I would like to see available on the original Harvester version with the convertible sunroof and roof-rack. I hope they make some accommodation for a flat tire, since the spare is apparently gone.

Now we just need to see a real Harvester prototype! Here's hoping that this comes to market soon.
