I’m sure it’s amazing (until it rolls over around a corner with the cream-puff suspension), but can’t do fugly.
Besides, if I bought a total Chinese made car she‘d divorce me or at least make me sleep outside for week.
She test drove a new Nautilus 2 years ago. She was thinking about it. Until...
What dip💩would think placing the heated steering wheel button someplace other than the steering wheel is okay??? But yeah, my Fisker is like that and my (former)Lincoln Nautilus too. Makes zero sense.
Exactly why the Rivian R2 is a solid #2 for me and the Scout is a solid #1. Well that and the looks :involve:. This is why I’m willing to wait for the Scout. Nice knowing the R2 will be there in case something bad happens to Scout.
X factor is electric Defender. However THAT car is gonna be...
Wow you got a lot of stuff in that post 😅. Manufacturers standardizing??? I sincerely hope you’re right but I’d bet some cash that will never happen. It’s taken years just for Tesla to grow so big that manufacturers finally threw in the towel on the charge port and allowing just that standard...
I agree. Even though personally I want the full EV version. EV‘s and EREV’s might be the future but that future might be longer away than the automakers think. I mean, already so many have abandoned their full electric plans in the short term. Just look at Scout with already throwing in the...
I’ve seen AI get it totally wrong many times, but regarding QS stock, it nailed it:
“The stock remains volatile, heavily dependent on successful commercialization milestones - 🤖”
QS stock looks highly volatile and ripe for people who expect everything all at once. It is interesting though that VW and Bill Gates are heavy investors. I might throw some money in the ring on this one. You never know when you’re going to get lucky. I doubled my money in Micron in 3 months 🤑.
Did someone somewhere say something about the fact that the engine (generator) would be made by VW and that that would be the reason the dealers would win? I can’t remember.
I don’t know squat but had a thought - a scenario where if the Scout had a motor it would be sold by dealers. If it was a...
Not trying to give you a hard time but this is absolutely not true, or at least in my area. About a year ago, I was trying to find a hotel with charging for an overnight visit near my area. Not much luck. I finally found a place (major city). They showed two chargers on their website.
So I...
Clear back in 2016 BMW had a cool ready to go solution for solar with used batteries charge station for the home. Supposedly a bunch of them working in San Francisco. Who knows where that went. But if theres a place to be able to reuse old EV batteries and charge for free that sounds like a deal...
Too bad those headlights are so polarizing for people. Personally I like them, makes the car stand out from the others. But my wife hates them.…ugh so theres that.
This car is a solid second choice for me, if for some reason I don’t go with the Scout. Have to say if the Scout interior actually...
You’ve got to be kidding 😂. They’ve been “right around the corner” for production for 20 years. I think they’ve fleeced more suckers than Elio did with his 3-wheeled scam. Id bet anyone $100 bucks there will never be a production Aptera. All those guys are cousins of Fisker I think. They should...
Just to give you an idea of how little electron fill-up you get with the sun, here a pic I took in my Fisker after 2-1/2 years of driving with its solar panel roof. Admittedly the first 1-1/2 years it got parked in my nice shady garage when I was home, but after I got my Defender it has sat...
Personally, I’m in no matter what (If the reports are in that it’s everything it’s supposed to be). I’ve done the dealership things dozens of times and also the direct to customer deal with buying my Fisker. So I’ve seen both sides of the coin.
With the Fisker it was pretty cool having techs...
Not sure where 2026 came from, Scout states 2027. Says so right on their website. Which BTW has changed a bit from the last time I visited.
I thought they’ve been saying late 2027, which sounds right if everything happens in a perfect world. Gut feeling says early 2028 (at least getting MY...
Using Jaguar as an example, the F-Pace took 3.5 years to go from an idea to a reality. The configurator for that car came online about 10 months before the first deliveries. I stumbled upon it when researching sporty SUVs for the wife when it first came online. And it wasn’t all there yet as far...
Just today I had to go across town to buy 5 lengths of 10’ Superstrut. Lots of traffic too. Using my Fisker was so convenient with the roll down back window and no gas used. I could easily carry 12’ if I wanted. If I would have had to use my Promaster, well that would have definitely cost me a...
Likewise. The tax credit is just icing on the cake if it were to happen but I’m pretty much not planning on it. When I got my Fisker, I ended up owing no taxes, so the tax credit didnt mean squat- I can’t deduct $7500 from $0 😕.
Anyway, you only live once-if it turns out to be as cool as we...
Absolutely agree. Having a back window that can roll down in my lowly Fisker is awesome. I can go to the lumber store and easily carry a 10’ long board or many boards sticking out the back so I don’t have to take my stinkin van. That is one thing my Fisker has over my Defender…😕.
