Why in the world would anyone “jump ship” at this point? Do you need your completely refundable $100 back that badly? This whole situation changes by the day. Just be patient and see what the world looks like when orders start.
Is Scout dead in the water? I'm not buying it at a 10-25% tariff added cost.

Yeah, and even at $80,000 (what I think the model they have been mostly marketing about will actually cost) the Scout EV would still be a great deal. We are talking about something with over 1,000lb*ft of torque, around 500hp, and a mid 3 second 0-60 time. It will obliterate a Ford Bronco Raptor and even the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. It also looks very nice inside, is pretty large, and looks pretty than either of those cars IMO. I would be certainly be willing to pay around $80k for the car. I just hope they don't over promise and under deliver like Tesla did with the Cybertruck. It needs to be a good car. The Blythewood, South Carolina factory is projected to produce produce up to 200,000 vehicles annually. If they make something that is really good, everyone will want one, even at $80k.

But anyway not sure I agree with “everyone will want one for $80k”.
I think for you and me, we both know that stuff costs a lot these days, you get what you pay for and you pay a premium for premium brands. But there’s a lot of people who are on a budget, or value trumps eye-candy. Or range is just too built into their value meter, etc.
Honestly, looking back a year and a half ago when I bought my Defender, the price to me (for the Defender) anyway is worth every penny. At this point right now, there‘s not another car on the planet I’d rather own until they come out with plug-in hybrid version doing 50 electric miles with the exact features and color of what I currently have. OR a Scout in Pacific Mist and the premium interior we’ve seen here. I have no illusions that it’s going to be in the $60k range. If it’s cheaper my mind goes to “where did they cheap out?”
