It's not a drivetrain issue it's simply takes time and obviously a lot more money. A 3 billion dollar robotic auto manufacturing company complex up and running in 3 yrs isn't unrealistic. So no ice drivetrains. I think automakers aren't looking for combustible engineers not a field I recommend...
The Chinese will be selling cars in the states the same time scout hits the streets. Zeeker , Nio , BYD , Volvo which is owned by Geely a Chinese company Volvo just built a factory in South Carolina you think Chinese cars might start being manufactured there ???
I saw that but minimal isn't what old people should settle for we've sacrificed all our lives for the good of others it's now our time to splurge for we're getting closer to our last car purchase every day.
This isn't a bad hold over or option first 3 yrs 36000 miles of service is covered 400 miles of range like how rear seats fold into rear deck

Be interesting in 2027 if any building permits will be applied for by VW Dealerships for renovations that will tell the truth as well as legal filings. It takes time to design and build dealerships so maybe it's always been the plan. Remember we're the sheep and their the herders and they want...
What's going to happen is many will find new options because of time restrictions. They simply cannot wait. And let's look at this through legal eyes. This is also a way of selling to the public that do to production delays Scout has Alined with VW dealers to alleviate any further delays making...
I am
Just saying what you say EREV's are useful for is a limited market it's not what scouts main base will be. As batteries advance EREV's become obsolete and become less desirable and that's 3 yrs away starting now. And if scout is not hitting the streets till 2028 then that's a short shelf...
Well I guess one day will get order sheets and then spend a year tracking our order's. But the good thing is the longer the wait the longer the battery range for full EV models. You have to apply some rationale to the Scout complex. By the time they get the factory up and running and robotics...
I hope the delay in scouts actual production time makes it cutting edge. They can't be just like Rivian. They need to be better hopefully they have their finger on the pulse and exceed ours and there own expectations. They have yet to divulge their actual drivetrain variants meaning actual test...
And here's another promising article on solid state batteries. Why I Think buy the time Scout comes to fruition battery tech will be advanced. I wonder if we did a poll today. If Scout were to offer a 500 mile range suv. What percentage would switch from EREV to EV I bet a large percentage??
At 310 miles of range now and current supercharging network I am never inconvenienced at 500 miles of range and battery chemistry that is not ideceptable to weather as currently chemistry I think that's when EV's start the bellwether curve. But i have no regrets with the Cadillac Vistiq
I had a corvette and you could go to Bolen Green plant and that was 1000 bucks at order time well worth it. But the elephant in the room is if VW dealers win I think that would put a wrench in factory deliveries perhaps.
