So I just saw a pic of the SOON to be released Slate PU/SUV and if you squint your eyes it looks ALOT like the original Scout (compact/ utilitarian).

Based on where Scout is at , may pick up a Slate to play with and let the Traveler birthing process grind out. It seems part of the problem is that we have truly lost the ability to manufacture things in this county (from ships to auto’s).

Agreed with many posts here. The concentration on the range extender is going to lose many folks that are ready for this vehicle now due to more and more delays. Those that wanted the EV only version are the ones most comfortable with this new tech and ready to buy now. Wait to long and more options from competitors will be available. If engineering is nearly done with the EV only version, why not just release it on time? I truly think many will opt for that who initially signed up for range extender (I am an example of that). After owning my Mach E for 3 years I am sold on EV only tech and no longer want the complication of a combined ICE and Battery tech!
Yeah 100% on your bandwagon. Just get SOMETHING out there. It just makes no sense to delay. So what if the harvester mods aren’t done? If you want one that bad you’ll wait. I agree, some will pivot back to the BEV. I’ll take whatever comes first if it looks like I might get the shaft if I wait.

The Rivian is a solid second but the Scout looks more like my Defender than anything else and that’s the only thing that really matters to me besides having some pure EV mileage. Damn that Pacific Mist version is total ⤴ for me 😍. Come on Scout, just get the BEVs out first if they’re ready first 🤨.

But as we all know this hasn't been a great transparent journey. Be nice if we got good and bad news from the source we hope to be clients of. Hey Scout nation here's the scoop ?? But like everything else in the world it comes from outside sources. My advice to Scout is just be truthful and transparent on all aspects moving forward. Hope someday to be telling my family buckle up be nice to know the actual timeframe from the people we gave deposits to and what their vision is at the time of manufacturing what are the true specs and packages and how much in real world dollars. Funny how executives seem to forget there are two sides of the desk. And only one side has options. Scott is selling one brand we have access to many.

Not that anyone here would remember but as you can see I have updated my avatar.
The vehicle on the left WAS a Bronco. The Scout was supposed to be a potential replacement for the Bronco.
We went ahead and moved on a Defender. But who knows...maybe when these things actually start hitting the streets, we'll be ready. AGAIN. Hah. They can keep my $100 for now...
Ha. You can have my Defender. Haven’t driven it since we got an EV. With how cheap home charging is and how expensive premium has become, the Defender is way too expensive to drive. It was fun for a while, but towing cross country with it was like burning money. I’m done with big gas SUV’s.
