Please spare us the holler than all attitude.....Yes there are OBVIOULSY many of us cavemen that like the ICE,and will deal with the electric as it becomes more viable......

Right. Let's stop pretending that BEV's are the perfect solution and don't create their own environmental issues with mining, battery recycling/disposal, and the economic realities that rely on subsidies to be cost competitive. (I'm eagerly awaiting the digital tongue-lashing I'm about to receive for saying anything negative about BEV's)

It’s funny as my youngest SIL, 30 years old, saw the Scout poster SWAG I got and he was like what on earth is that? He had never heard of Scout. He LOVES the looks of it.

Then I told him it was EV or EREV, hard pass from him on that. It took me 5 min to explain what an EREV was.

He drives a JDM Skyline and an F350 diesel.

No desire what so ever for anything EV.

My oldest daughter is the same, when it came time for a new 4 Runner no desire at all for the hybrid. She got the gasser.

Not all young folks are on the EV bandwagon.

I understand your going to get what's available and affordable listen I was a gasser till 5 yrs ago o owned track Porsche's to model T's but knowing what I know and have experienced to me the future of the auto industry isn't ice they will co exist for decades. But originally Scout was all EV when concept was made. Now we're adapting to what I feel is a limited time frame. And the once far behind Chinese have passed us by leaps and bounds and that's our fault for being fools and manufacturing everything there to take advantage of cheap labor they were smart come on in will steal all your intelligence and copy it. I think we should all drive what puts a smile on our face happy trails to you all.

I hope Scout makes a great truck / SUV for all of us and I hope we can get back to respecting each others opinions and learn from both while enjoying a cold refreshing beverage someday that's my hope. And I think 2028 is when we might be actually picking colors. Quite frankly after 43 yrs of marriage and the world we live in I've retreated to watching the Rockford files and his movies and baseball. The news is depressing so traditions are important to pass down but I think we also need to gracefully pass the Paton and try to experience as much as we can of the world we don't understand or have experienced that's what's exciting seeing what I'm not once I'm dead F what I've did. All have a nice evening.

I wonder if people’s attitude would change with $10’s for a gallon of fuel. Do you remember the gas rationing of the 70’s, you could get 10 gallons if your car license plate ended in an even# AND it was a Monday Wednesday or Friday. Not to mention that there was still a line at the pump. Just saying BEV sounds pretty good about now.

yes and I also loved the Woody Allen. movie Sleeper....lived thru the 70's myself, not that big a deal....lets not get ahead of ourselves,,a phrase the electric crowd should think about....that being said, was just wondering IF they ever thought about a ICE version, probably not as they probably would have been fired....

Let's remember Scout's revival was originally full EV so not ahead we're falling behind who on this forum thinks ice will be the future of automotive industry ??

ICE vehicles will be around for a long time. EV is nice, but it's just not there yet for many mainstream Americans.

The revival of Scout as an EV came about during a time with heavy government influence pushing adoption of EV. The landscape has changed, and it's going to be tough for Scout to gain any foothold with just an EV product line.

Well maybe VW will restructure which of their brands goes electric and which doesn't or goes Erev hybrid VW can diversify its lineup I guess we will see but no more ice in this garage
