I'm having an issue with buying solar panels and battery big enough to matter but then I get to charge my car for "free".

If you really want the EV charging network to grow, we have get the govt. to outlaw or make home charging more expensive. Force those of us who worked hard to afford a house and an electric car to have to charge outside the home. That way we will level the playing field for the people who rent. We need to go to the lowest common denominator or our society to be truly successful and move everyone to EV's.

I think once apartments and rural urban areas will have tremendous more charging options as to retail locations ( Walmart , Target , Home Depot, Costco, BJ 's Freestanding canopy battery storage charging stations as well as major highway off-ramps ) and once EV's offer 500 plus miles of range charging for renters could happen once a week while food shopping
