I can't wait to have all the hidden squeaks, rattles and clunks of the trucks of the 70's in my electric truck. Oh yea, the wind noise, maybe they can make the wind sound like I am wearing ear plugs so i can have a conversation in the cab.

WTF this sounds like people trying to convince the CEO there job is needed.

OFF BUTTON or tell me where the external speakers are and my dikes will remove the connection.

I watched half the video then turned it off. Somebody get at me when y’all start talking about the sound system. I don’t expect it to be better than the system in my ol school LRRR, but it best be better than the sound system in my 2023 Bronco.

Ok. This all sound (excuse the pun) a little esoteric, all I know is I don’t want it to Sound like a Tesla in reverse. I’m sure when I see the end product I’ll get it….. I don’t get opera either but that doesn’t make it bad. I’m just hoping my BEV can roll off the line b4 2030 with a Kick Ass radio (sound system). LOL

Please...whatever you do...don't do fake engine sound. That is so cringy.
Having a big V8 growl as you hammer down the skinny pedal is one thing...but in an EV, the throwback you get with instant torque is good enough and almost better when it's silent because it's surreal.

As long as I can turn this bullshit off or not use the engine sound as the external sound it's fine. I like that my EV sounds like Star Trek when I put the pedal down and then it sound like silence. But I don't have the nostalgia poison of being a previous Scout owner. I just want an BEV truck that does truck things and doesn't cost six figures. And has some buttons because using a screen for everything is incredibly dumb.

Please VW/Scount let's not overthink some mundane feature and 'experience' that will not be a determination of someone actually purchasing the vehicle. These things can be added down the road but shouldn't be part of the vehicles core development.

These types of side thinking "micro-moments" can completely derail and end projects due to costs and time all while adding NOTHING to the overall product result.

If the vehicle is a peaceful place to enjoy a drive, the sounds of silence in our very loud world is the most important. I'm starting to worry that '28 might not happen with all these added on 'features' that I don't recall anyone asking for.

The more I think about it the more I dislike this. The sounds from the original Scouts were the product of its time. The mechanical/tactile features who had a sound related to them came naturally. These fabricated sounds just to add to a blinker or the sound of a door handle not only seems cheesy but also out of place. Why can't this Scout have their own natural sounds?
