If you check out above bmw link shows working of Erev and complexity it adds along with the positives. But I agree with them at the rate of battery adoption is going and infrastructure modernization EREV's are for a small audience just as early adopters of EV's experience depreciation so will early adopters of EREV's in my opinion and seems BMW shares same sentiment. Imagine these battery banks aligned with an array of solar panels these charging sub stations could be put independent of the grid in campgrounds anywhere there's sun. This is cool stuff
