That's why the Jeep Recon is the best option on paper, but they are hard to find! There are a few dealerships who have them on order now.
I don't think anyone is going to pay $70K+ for that particular vehicle. Would love to test drive one though. I recently test drove an R1S and disliked the ride on every setting. Not only did it feel like it was floating, but when stomping the pedal, it pulled hard to the right as if it was torque steering. I was really surprised. I expected I was going to love the thing, but 15 minutes in it crossed it off the list for good.
Nobody is going pay $70K for a 250 mile range and a less than impressive charging. An even worse Software in the infotainment system. I really wanted to like this Vehicle.
I really wanted to like it as well. As I said, I'd love to test drive it and see if it drives like a "road-preferred" EV Wrangler, which is kind of my desired use case. I remember when Stellantis announced their STLA Large EV platform, they claimed it would power their "500-mile Ram 1500 REV electric pickup trust and 690-mile Ram 1500 Ramcharger range-extended version."
The Bolder looked very interesting from a design stand point, if they actually keep that design, i would really consider it. I just don't think the its going to make it as an EV though.
It's the old Microsoft ballad - "embrace and extend." Copy what works and extend. My EV6 doesn't feel like a Kia. There's sound deadening in all the right places and it drives like a dream. The interior materials beat anything in its class and while I wish they kept up on software updates, I can easily say it's the best car out of the 30 or so I've owned in my 57 years on the planet.
33" A/T tires and construction strong enough to sustain off-road travel will do that for ya'. If you think Scout will be better you may be in for a surprise.
Wasn't the point. Point is with 70K price point you better be closer to 300 miles of range. That 230miles of range(Moab trim) will realistically be closer to 200.
