TEMPTING but I can’t buy a vehicle that I can’t stand to look at. Personal opinion I know but Rivian, could you give us an optional headlight option?! Please! I want to support you but just can’t.

Too bad those headlights are so polarizing for people. Personally I like them, makes the car stand out from the others. But my wife hates them.…ugh so theres that.

This car is a solid second choice for me, if for some reason I don’t go with the Scout. Have to say if the Scout interior actually looks like the pics we have of the Pacific Mist version, the R2 doesn’t hold a candle to that interior. I’d love either of these cars to be my next electric car. I’m fairly certain that an electric Defender is going to be super expensive and makes either the R2 or Scout a super deal.

Have to say though that the R2‘s roll down rear window is a huge plus in my book 🤙🏽😃

I too hate the Dyson fan headlights but the R2 looks great and I LOVE the roll down rear window! Really miss that from my childhood SUVs. For now staying with Scout to see how these models shake out

If they make an R2T and it follows the same pricing and hits the market before or at the same time as the BEV Terra I'm going to have to give it a serious look.

I think the emergency door releases, particularly on the rear doors, are a recipe for disaster. Can’t imagine how they passed safety testing.

I hope the delay in scouts actual production time makes it cutting edge. They can't be just like Rivian. They need to be better hopefully they have their finger on the pulse and exceed ours and there own expectations. They have yet to divulge their actual drivetrain variants meaning actual test mules I hope because they know what we don't and it's real and spectacular ( solid state ? ) but we really won't see what our date looks like or where to pin the corsage for another year. In meantime BMW will be launching a 500 mile range suv now so I am sure there will be great strides in battery and Erev technology in the coming year.
