I think it’s fair to say that Scout Motors is quick to listen and if need be to Pivot to the market, after all they started out as a BEV platform but pivoted to a EREV platform emphasis. My question is, as battery technology continues to go forward at lightning speed are you designing the existing battery housing, wiring, etc so Scout can pivot to what the newest and greatest battery coming down the pike is. If vehicles in customer hands isn’t till 2028 realistically, Scout will have to at least try and adapt to new battery technology to stay relevant. Looking at China BEV’s Scout could be looking like a dinosaur by 2028 if they don’t have some planned evolution in mind. My hope is yes and we end up with BEV’s with ranges of 400-500 miles on a single quick charge by 2028. As new batteries come on board over time is there thoughts about retrofit upgrades in the future for Scout owners.

I don't have a car at the moment, last was a tesla
I doubt retrofits will be a priority for them. Most manufacturers just want you to buy the next model instead of upgrading your current pack. If the frame is modular enough it might be possible, but it's rarely cost-effective for the owner.

My concern (bet) is Scout will spend time and resources designing up the EREV that people are demanding now. By the time the financing/factory build out are sorted out the market will be moving on to next generation batteries and Scout could be a day late and a dollar short on both the EREV and BEV that they finally go to market with.

Consumers want what they want but can change their mind WAY faster than manufacturers can deliver (aka market pivot to smaller cars in the 70’s, Detroit was let on the dust by the Japanese). Hoping for the best but we have seen this tango before.
