Well folks, as a current reservation holder for the Traveler Harvester (probably a billionth in line) let me begin my first post with my dream trim for the Traveler. I may not be the only one hoping for it.

Let’s call said trim the Scout Traveler Harvester X (for expedition) or Scout Traveler Harvester Yuppie (for the Wrangler/Bronco forum types who think a specc’ed up off-road trim should be punishable by death).
And Scout, if you’re listening, please make this happen 🤞🙌

Exterior:
- 37 tires on 17/18 (like the Terra option that was revealed)
- beefed up tie rods/suspension to accomodate the above
- beefed up C pillars and larger spare tire carrier to accomodate the 37”s
- step rails
- 2 gerrycans on right of the spare tire. Small storage box/gear mount option on left side of spare tire
- larger battery pack/fuel tank to get range to 700 miles (on 37 tires)
- Front winch
- roofrack with integrated lights
- satellite connectivity module on roof
- air suspension option with leveling (if camping on uneven ground)

Interior:
- keep the beautiful leather options/physical compass/backseat heating and ventilation/maybe front massage seats??

What do you fellas think?? Ps. Scout, if you make this, I will sell my kidneys to get one

I’m with you on everything except the air suspension, don’t care about that. I have a Terra Harvester reserved… and I still want a rear-mounted spare (with a continental kit).

Well, I’m likely not Scouts’ target customer but I’ll chime in anyway. I’ve signed up for both vehicles in Harvester form, and am considering changing those to all electric. If 350 miles is anywhere near a realistic expectation that’s probably good enough for me, and for me for this vehicle simplicity would be a draw. The more I consider maintaining an ICE for an EV vehicle the less appealing it sounds. My ideal would have a removable top, and not be vulnerable to weather with said top removed. I’m easy.

If I’m remembering correctly, it’s been said here that all electric will be a wait. And removable top is but a rumor? It’s ok, I’m in no rush!

Yeah. With a 2027 production target, unsure if solid state batteries will be in play. If so, I may switch to all electric too. Those batteries get 1.5-2x Lion range from what I hear

How are you not going to be vulnerable to weather without a top?
I’ll mostly be inside. I just like the idea of not thinking “oh shit” when there’s a downpour and worrying about the interior, electronics, etc.

😂. Hey solid state batteries are a thing. Or look at anything coming out of China. The tech is there

Have to say, I am now leaning towards a more luxury feel with the Traveler as well. We had a 2021 Ford Bronco as they came out. Ordered it and spec'd it exactly how we wanted it and as 'luxury' as we could get - loaded up Outer Banks with Sasquatch and pretty much every single option checked off on it.

We traded that in about 4 months ago for a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve, and are already so used to a much more upscale vehicle (yes the Summit Reserves are really luxurious) and having heated and cooled seats front and back where the bronco didn't even have AC in the back, let alone heated seats, having adjustable air ride suspension is fantastic, massaging seats, active driver assist (essentially drives for you), and even a TV screen in the passenger side so they can watch Netflix on road trips is awesome.

A lot of these features will be tough to step away from when the Traveler is released, so I hope they have that 'upscale' option as well, along with the hardcore enthusiast 'no frills' option too.

There's a market out there for everything from stripped out, to really luxurious. 100%.

I have a reservation for the full EV traveler and am debating between the rivian R2 and the Scout. I am coming from a Tesla and am very disappointed in the proclaimed range and the actual range. If the Scout got 350 miles battery range i would be a happy individual. My wish list is a solid roof, do not like a full glass roof they are ridiculous expensive to replace. I also would like heated and ventilated seats in the front and heated steering wheel (can’t go back to non heated steering wheel). I would also like an option for a stereo system that is customizable i.e. replaceable speakers that are available from a seller like JL Audio or equivalent, with the head unit that allows addition of add on amplifier(s) and subwoofer. Do not care for a front bench seat, had those in my vehicles in the 70s and 80s not much of a fan.

Solid state will increase range by 40 percent because of weight alone but we all have front row seats and a new Apple phone comes out every Christmas so theirs hope for 500 plus mile EV's

Or, manufacturer's keep the range as it is today and reduce battery size and costs with solid state. Most ICE cars don't have 500 plus range today.

Yes on solid state batteries. Based on OEM’s stampede away from EV the battery tech revolution won’t be led by the US ( have to play catch up again). Wondering if it is better to wait vs. buying rolling e-waste with lithium batteries?!

Currently MG and BMW and MB have solid state in their pipeline China is the leader in EV battery tech. For the life of me I don't understand why we don't steal their intellectual properties like they have done to us and leapfrog battery technology but after owning a plugin hybrid and now a full EV I see feel and touch the future and it's Electric not ice both will coexist but commonsense ( that's something that's lacking these days ) tells me at 66 my ass will be driven to his final resting place in an electric hursts. Happy Holidays but let's hope Santa brings Scout advance battery technology by the time they come to market.
