The base price vehicle may be $50K with the incentives. That means, it's really $58K for the base vehicle when the incentives are gone. A reasonably spec'd vehicle is likely over $70K. I will bail at that point I think.
Was thinking that a removable cover (great idea btw) might let more heat through around the edges even if well insulated. Yeah, noise could be an issue too. If the cover is well bolted down against a seal, I think it would be fine.

Because distance is meaningless. In a big city, it can take you an hour and a half to go 25 miles. Warranty has nothing to do with how far someone is willing to drive for service.
