2027 Scout EV Price Estimate?? Hope and dream of affordability!

The base price vehicle may be $50K with the incentives. That means, it's really $58K for the base vehicle when the incentives are gone. A reasonably spec'd vehicle is likely over $70K. I will bail at that point I think.

Maintainability and Accessibility of Range Extender

They had large vents to exhaust the heat through convection. I don’t imagine this one will be air cooled.

Scout Driver Assistance will be camera based system (no Radar or LIDAR)

That is pretty cool. In the future, we won’t have windshields. We’ll have a giant display up front.

So we need to add $7500.00 US to the price right?

Maintainability and Accessibility of Range Extender

Was thinking that a removable cover (great idea btw) might let more heat through around the edges even if well insulated. Yeah, noise could be an issue too. If the cover is well bolted down against a seal, I think it would be fine.

That sounds more fun than the shopping the wife plans on doing. I’m hoping to hit up some guitar shops.

Start of production coming late 2027 for Scout vehicles (update by Scout 1/20/25)

For sure. You need to use the public DC Fast charging systems. To see how that might work for you, try out ABRP. You can use the web or app version. We’ve taken many EV roadtrips with no issues.

I see what you mean. And, to take it to a hilarious extreme, who wants to use their warranty miles driving to a far away service centre for warranty work lol.

    Rv life style feature set

That's great idea. If you're camping in the car or with the car, getting all those lights on if someone is creeping around is a comforting thought.

Because distance is meaningless. In a big city, it can take you an hour and a half to go 25 miles. Warranty has nothing to do with how far someone is willing to drive for service.

Lol, do you not having anything else in your life worth living for? You know, mosquito bites, malaria, covid, food poisoning. Hmmm maybe I'll join you now that I think about it.

Scout Driver Assistance will be camera based system (no Radar or LIDAR)

One could only hope. Our Tesla’s self-driving systems are useless now that Musk disabled our radar remotely.

Probably but I’m not in a real hurry. Leasing a nice EV at the moment.

If they have loaners it might not be so bad. Maybe.
