  1. Start of production coming late 2027 for Scout vehicles (update by Scout 1/20/25)

after a 3 year wait, what’s another 6 months. I have one EV for daily driving, don’t want a second one.
  2. Start of production coming late 2027 for Scout vehicles (update by Scout 1/20/25)

Legitimate concern considering the ID Buzz van that went on sale in Europe in 2022 (2024 here in the States) was originally shown as a concept at the NA Auto show in 2017. As a long time VW owner, they will drive you crazy waiting on new models.
  3. Start of production coming late 2027 for Scout vehicles (update by Scout 1/20/25)

With 50,000+ reservations and production ramp up time for a new plant thrown in to the equation (assuming all 50k reservations convert to sales), seems there is a good chance some current reservation holders wouldn’t see their vehicle until the 2029 model year.
  4. Retractable sun shade for glass roof

I’m guessing electrochromic, which is on the ID Buzz.
  5. Scott Keogh (CEO of Scout Motors) gives insight at CES on Traveler + Terra!

Just to add to that, he was the President of Audi USA prior to that. He came to Audi from Mercedes. Great track record and unlike many in leadership roles within VW, he understands the US market and consumer.
  6. Scout Traveler on-road model

Go bigger while it’s still easy. I have a three car with each bay oversized (length and width) along with a shop area that is nearly the size of another bay and an upstairs storage area……and I wish I’d gone bigger.
  7. Window Division Bar

I’m just baffled that people are concerned about it.
  8. Parking sensors and cameras

Backup camera is legally required in the US, but I would guess they will have a full compliment of cameras/sensors. Not much point sticking them on these two models they are using for the intro since they wouldn’t be functional and it’s not a final design.
  9. Bunch of pictures from Scout launch event!

Absolutely masterful job from the designers, and to make it even better, I don’t see a bit of piano black anywhere in that interior!!!
  10. Current EV owners: are you sticking with full-EV or switching to EREV Harvester Scout?

Where did you see 150 miles range? Scout is saying 350 miles EV range and 500 with the Harvester.
  11. Current EV owners: are you sticking with full-EV or switching to EREV Harvester Scout?

Currently have an ID.4 that I daily about 40 miles round trip and love it. For longer trips, I’d rather drive backroads/state highways over the Interstates though, so I’ll take my Jeep since the charging infrastructure just isn’t there. I’m going Traveler Harvester to be able to do the longer...
  12. Scout Traveler Colors, Rallye Stripes, Roof Colors - Previews (Wallpaper Size Download)

Can you do a silver and silver with black rally stripes? I don’t think I saw one anywhere in the thread.
  13. PPF Paint Protection Film Wrap / XPEL / Clear Bra

“Factory wrap” is always a post production application. I’d rather use a good aftermarket shop that will remove/replace decals, mirrors, door handles, badges etc and take the time to do edges and small parts correctly.
  14. Public debut of Scout Traveler & Terra @ University South Carolina Football Game -- Photos & Video

I’d guess they would be looking for a game with more exposure and bigger crowds.
  15. Door Handles Manual Operation - For Fire Safety (if Battery Dead)

Let’s hope every car maker puts electric door releases on the scrap heap and just sticks with the tried and true.
