Both for me.
Loved the IH design of the past plus the EREV feature makes it a perfect fit for me.
Coming from 3 EVs, I'd say the EREV will be better for longer range driving.
Retiring in a few months so looking forward to more relaxed trips.
RAM EREV will be releasing their EREV this year 2026.
RAM will be the first to market and beat out Scout for 2027 and who knows when Ford will reveal theirs...
Wonder what the pricing will be ???

Isn't that a hoot!
Agree - thread hijack at it's best.
I would love to be a beta tester for the Scout as I am retiring in a few months and I will be in a good place to test out the Scout in So Calif area which is unique.
It's very eerily similar to the EV/PHEV rage from 2016-2022 that I took advantage of.
CARB did administer it and the funds were replenished every year.
I was able to snag a $4000 state rebate check for our PHEV which we still have.
This time the manufacturer is having to match it - that's...
YES!
I bought the Ford F150 Lightning and it was a mistake after I brought it home.
I prefer the mid size Ranger truck.
If Ford comes out with a Ranger sized EREV truck, I'd be first to get it.
Slate sent me 2 different concept sketches via mail.
They are going to start selling their 2027 models end of this year!
Scout better put some "EV power" into production!
100% agree - depreciation is last thing on my mind as I reach retirement in a few months.
Worked hard in the public sector for decades and now going to enjoy my lifelong government pension income so now I have a huge list of bucket list items to start/purchase/complete:
Scout EREV
Single...
Only affecting the EREV Scout models, following this lawsuit in CO against the state, I'd say that VW being connected to Scout is an issue.
Why Scout can't be like Tesla, I don't understand.

Very small percentage of cars needed an entire replacement.
Most or the warranty issues are resolved using small/individual packs.
I have had 3 EVs and none needed replacement so far.
Waiting for the newer battery tech - you may be waiting for a long time.
Have you seen Tesla over the past 16 years making their EVs with NMC lithium batteries forever even till now ?
LFP batteries have just started becoming mainstream now but there are limitations on that chemistry.
My 2023...
Nope, not going to happen - the battery designed for the vehicle will remain the same.
I expect my 10 year 17kW battery warranty in my Honda will be up in 2 years and my 8 year warranted Ford 72kW EV will be up in 5 years. Both are NMC and I expect the same chemistry replacement.
It's like...
Agree!
We have made the transition from ICE to BEV luckily thru my wife's PHEV.
Replacement for the PHEV will be an EREV because the wife will not rely on BEV tech...
Replacement for my BEV will be BEV.
Same here - agree - hoping Scout has the vehicle when it rolls out compared to the competion.
So far, loving my Ford BEV and have reservations with both Slate and Scout as a future adopter.
My question to the CEO was not answered:
Slate and Tesla agreement for either plug & charge w/ driver discount going to be available ?
Currently my BEV requires me to open the Tesla app, select the charge location, then choose the charge tower number in order to get the discounted rate.
Would...
Having had a F150 Lightning for a year, I can say that I was an early adopter.
If I had lived in rural America, it would be perfect for me.
I am so glad I was able to get back more than what I paid for it when I traded her in.
Waiting for the Terra!
