I get you, if you were to see the facility site in person like I fortunately have….its literally the largest civil engineering feat I have seen, and being built with such alacrity that its essentially a done deal.
It’s interesting how resistant to change some folks are from Blythewood about the Scout facility coming.
Sensibility, it takes proper low intelligence to be resistant to 4,000 jobs coming to an area.
As the inverse…..say Ft. Jackson was to close…..there are 3,500 permanent party service...
That is great to know, I am kind of surprised that nearly all vendors don’t have a similar product……whether officially or through a hack.
While I “might” be reluctant to a communist country hack…I really don’t know, as my ignorance can make things seem far more scary than they are.
What is the...
Ford Lightning’s fob is massive, but you simply don’t need to carry the fob AT ALL because it can stay in your vehicle (out of sight obviously) then you simply punch in your numeric code in the door panel to unlock your door, hop in and press the start button……as your key is already there…..so...
For those coming from Porsche, Audi, VW, Lamborghini…….and frankly too many more to mention, who here has used OBD Eleven on their past platforms?
I have personally, and I believe it interfaces with all vehicle companies owned by VW.
It’s about a whopping $100, that allows you to use your...
With what you are using it for, and with a Terra, I would have a setup in the bed that allows for 2 spares, along with more even weight distribution. I would think each wheel would be 100+ pounds, but with it being static weight vs unsprung weight it would be less of an issue.
I have seen...
I will be going with more highway friendly wheels and tires as my 1st modification besides heat rejecting window films.
Unsprung weight effects performance (btaking, steering, accelerating), component wear (brakes, suspension components), and efficiency quite substantially. If the Traveler sees...
I agree, and frankly even with Rivian being competition.......its bad news if another EV brand dissolves such as the case with Fisker.
I can candidly see Volkswagen Motors absorbing Rivian at the most opportune time.
Lane keep assist and Adaptive Cruise Control aren't AI exclusive features.
They have been on regular production vehicles since well before 2011.
These systems can be enhanced with AI, but some are confusing that these safety systems NEED AI (which they do not) when its technology that has been...
I will absolutely be at the facility for delivery of my Scout!
Being 20 minutes away, I would be foolish not to.
This is a WIN for everyone that is reasonably close by, the brand can hopefully pass on the savings to the consumer, and it could be a fun area for owners to build camaraderie!
If...
I am in Columbia, SC…..literally 20 minutes away. If you or ANYONE are within an hour, I can help with picking you up if I don’t have an obligation that day.
Please EVERYONE, don’t think it’s too big of an “ask”, I’m happy to help!
Candidly, the new Jeep in the pics looks completely forgettable.
Scout should have no problem taking Stellantis/Jeeps money on this one......provided that HP/TQ numbers beat the EV Jeep by 50 or more.
Jeep's fanbase has consistently been gouged well over MSRP for generations for about...
I get ya.
I’ll stay optimistic till I find out otherwise .
New Volvo owners or lessees get a free round trip ticket for 2 to Sweden, I am pretty sure regardless of wherever in the world you buy that new Volvo at. It’s good for their Countries tourism, and Volvo. With Charleston, SC not far, and...
As long as the Scout has ample power (400ish TQ/HP) along with a stereo that would please an entry level audiophile, has “microphoned” motors for auditory feedback like Porsche EV’s do, and have 4-5 cameras for Birds Eye view (or navigating tight parking or trails)
Scout…….COUNT ME IN.
I am...
Well Cybertruck was quite behind schedule as well. Both are great vehicles at least in the short term.
More importantly there is a “Soul to the Machine” with them so one won’t feel like they are driving an appliance.
Hopefully the new Scout will be at least in 3 second territory. Jeep Wrangler 4Xe’s can already do 0-60 in FIVE seconds with beefy all-terrain tires and heavy weight. They will have my money if so?
