Start of production coming late 2027 for Scout vehicles (update by Scout 1/20/25)

And with no dealer network hopefully they won't be able to screw everyone over like Ford did with the Bronco. Massive dealer mark-up's at delivery, giving cars to high volume dealers while early res holders waited until the end of time to get their cars, etc.

Trump to End EV mandate today(1/20/25) *** ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS TALK, ONLY POLICY ***

Those don't need to be mandated. If people want safer cars then manufacturers will make them and people will buy them over the competition. A/C, power windows, power locks are not mandated, how many cars sold today don't have them? People doing "whatever they wanted" is sorta like freedom of...

What are you driving until Scout release date? Photos thread!

2015 Grand Cherokee I better be able to sleep in the back of the Scout or I may have to buy another GC instead.

Scout warns VW dealers on using intimidation to stop direct-to-consumer sales

They don't call them "Stealerships" for nothing. I've had some good and many not so good interactions with dealers over the last 38 years of car buying. I really hope Scout can succeed here.

1-on-1 interview with Scout President Scott Keough by News 19 WLTX

Just curious, what's your number? If they make more than "X", I will not feel guilty. By the sounds of it you will still buy but may or may not feel guilty about it.

Are you still a Scout buyer without $7500 EV tax credit?

In the US inflation is cumulative, like compound interest on a savings account. It went up and up for many years therefore the prices of everything have gone way up over time and have not come back down. Yes, the rate of inflation has come down but prices are still very high. And our...

Are you still a Scout buyer without $7500 EV tax credit?

I don't own an EV, I'm not a tax attorney, and I did not sleep in a Holiday Inn last night but my understanding is that it's a tax credit, not a tax deduction. If your tax bill was going to be $17,500, you take $7,500 off the amount owed. The .gov doesn't reduce its spending by $7,500 so that...

Are you still a Scout buyer without $7500 EV tax credit?

Tax credits need to go away, why should tax payers subsidize someones decision on what sort of car to buy? If the Scout is at a price I feel is fair then I will buy it, if not, I won't. Take the government finger off the scale and we'll see what happens.

Scout Stores / Service Centers ("Scout Studios") plans revealed: 25 will open in 2027, expanding to 100 by 2032

I used the Ford mobile service for the first time last week to get an oil change on my Bronco. I was skeptical at first about it but they did a great job. No dealer shenanigans and mobile service is a win in my book!
