Ohh I know that I mean the construction part. I Know that tooling is a lot more work than anything else. But with VW behind them it could be done faster since they have a lot more experience with factories.
I have a feeling they will be using a new battery tech. Since a 60k less starting price point isn’t possible with the tech we use now because of the mining. But here’s a new battery tech I have been researching. It has a longer life span, and battery life...
I have two friends ones a tesla owner and the other owns a R1S 2024. I had the opportunity to mess around with both software for about a day each. I can firmly say that Rivian software is better than Tesla. I feel its more simple than Teslas.
Mind you i don't own or drive any EVs.
Im guessing the battery will get around 200-250miles. And the generator will have about a 12-16 gallon gas tank. and the Generator will produce around 75-96kw Depending on what variant engine they use from VW.
VW saying they will shut down would be like Ford or Toyota saying that. It wouldn’t ever happen. It would crash the market. Investors would come in and buy them out. And rebuild.
I want to see a real mounted hitch on both. Not a fake cyber truck hitch or hideaway one like whats on BMWs. It needs to be steel, properly mounted to the frame. Where we can choose what ball hitch we want on it, made scout release their own branded ball hitch.
I would like to see it be capable of at least 250psi. idk exactly what CFM that would be. What i do know is it would be able to power a Impact Wrench. With no problem.
Not getting rid of it. But shes be my daily until the Scout. And will still be my track car.

I like the design, I feel it give off the true retro design. And it also gives the modern design that the “4/5th generation” scout would have most likely have gotten if they hadn’t stopped making them.
