I think Scout is using a VW gasser engine for Harvester. Possibly also VW electrical components (and thus Rivian tech). Not that Scout can’t source these things elsewhere but a VW collapse could change the delivery schedule.
I agree. This first thing people ask in overlanding/wheeling forums is which tires to install. Good ATs are critical for going off road or dealing with snow. I’m partial to Falken Wildpeaks but there are many options out there.
I hate changing subjects but going to do so anyway...anybody see where the backup camera is mounted? It would be nice to use that spare mount for stuff and not give up use of the camera.
I believe the drawing was revised with side mirrors that are now to scale (and do project). That said, the mirrors are likely to change between now and production and for me, I hope they get taller and more square.
Absolutely hate the Tesla yoke and agree that the Scout wheel shape should not take much time to get used to. Perhaps they shaped it this way (other than to be different) to make it slightly easier to see over? Another nit for me is that hemp wood on the interior...hoping there will be...
I know it’s a cool design move to have a “signature” EV element, but please Scout Motors, let’s be true to the legacy and make the steering wheel round. It works better, looks better, and probably will save you money. It’s literally the only fault I could find with what has been presented so...
I'm most likely wrong as I assumed 280 miles of EV range before the generator kicks in. The reality may be quite different with the generator being able to be started before max EV range is achieved and in fact with a smaller battery bank in the Harvester, we don't know exactly what the...
I have no idea. Scout Motors is being pretty tight lipped about the Harvester. Perhaps rightly so. The bigger question is can the reservation be cancelled and the $100 refunded?
