Scout initially said they were trying to come in well under $60k and then there were tax incentives planned on top. This seemed extremely reasonable to me and I put my deposit down. Tariffs are now a reality, and with a hostile administration on EV's, there's just no way in a couple years time...
I never had mine on my previous jeep unless I was in a long road trip. That was the point of a jeep to me. (YMMV)
I would love to be able to take the doors off the scout.
If they truly go through with Right-To-Repair and release shop manuals and tools to diagnose then I'm fine going up to an hour probably since the minor things I'll do myself, or that will allow shops to pop up and do.
With enough training data it can, be fine, but we're not there yet for it to be on everyone's vehicle no matter what Elmo promises and tries to rush to put out. I'm glad it's working for you so far.
Record profits by oil and gas companies explains why your gas prices are still high. It's not a conspiracy, just standard late-stage capitalism greed. We have a ton of oil, we have the means to get it to. How about we set up some fracking by your house? I would say there's a conspiracy with...
Well that's extremely disappointing to hear. Check out all the videos of tesla car crashes because of it. I'm sure after enough people die though they'll have it a decent enough amount of data where it won't be as much of an issue, but I don't want to be in the beta test group.
To any Tesla...
That's fine. It's an engine that'll probably never be stressed much to recharge a battery. VW can do it. There's no issues with transmissions or lots of other parts so I'm not worried with whatever engine they pick.
Yup love the back window roll down. I've always been jealous of the Tundra, but this vehicle kinda is a unibody right? It all sits on a massive flat battery pack that the body is built on. I'm not sure if there's a technicality of why this wouldn't be a unibody?
I do watch Engineering Explained and I realize that's where we are now, but there's still a lot of upside and possibility for some tech that's really interesting, namely it's so plentiful in the universe. I think EE doesn't have the full picture of what's being worked on. Toyota and others...
I think I have too much of a prepper mindset to ever just do a battery only EV. It just makes so much sense to throw a generator in there too. I like to do road trips and I like that I can go to any gas station or charging station. The more options the better. (unpopular opinion: All this...
I have a deposit for a Ramcharger also, and the 3.6l they're using is super reliable. This could be the best version of the Ram coming and there's a built in third party support for the chassis and suspension from the beginning.
Then the Scout was debuted.....and I'm no longer interested in...
20's are so unneccesary. I would prefer 18's at most for offroading, but with regenerative breaking added to regular brakes they could probably do 17's.
