The interiors of the concepts are not built to withstand large numbers of people climbing in and out of them. The seats are not even adjustable. Scout says they will have pre-production and production vehicles we will be able to sit in before placing orders.
If 85% of Scout buyers want the Harvester, do you think Scout's going to sell it at a cheaper price even if it costs less to make? It seems inevitable the Harvester will be an extra-cost option.
Filling up the Harvester tank may not give you full (500 miles) range, but the range it does give is the same as the range of the BEV(350 miles). At its worst, it's as good as the BEV's best, plus it can be refueled in under 5 minutes. That doesn't sound too bad to me.
From Jamie@Scout : We have moved all of our reservation holders over to our new CRM system and email communications should improve significantly and be coming more frequently. That said, we used the new system in December and you should have received a Holiday email from us.
It's good news, but the license expires in 2026 and has to be renewed. There's no guarantee the license will be in effect when Scouts go on sale in 2027.
I've follow Scout pretty closely and I've never heard anything about flat towing. I wouldn't count on that feature. It seems like an expense no EV maker is willing to commit to. Are there any EV's for sale that can be flat towed?
Scout hasn't shown the production interiors yet. It's probably best worth waiting until they do. Jamie from Scout mentioned the other day the Traveler rear seats don't even fold down. We still haven't seen what the production bench will be like. We all have lots of questions. Unfortunately...
That's correct. 350 miles of range comes from the gas Harvester. I think some people get confused when they read 350 miles of range from the BEV Scout vs 500 miles of range from the Harvester model. Some incorrectly assume the batteries are the same. Harvesters have smaller batteries with a...
I haven't heard what the Governor of SC has said, but it could be many things: better incentives from NC, bigger airport, bigger city to help attract talent.
No, no more info about the tire carrier has been released. Keep in mind it's a prototype. The final version may be different, and not every Traveler will have a spare tire carrier.
