Curious as to why Scout wouldn't look to engineer tactile switch gear that makes its own sound instead of having to pipe in this crap. It's a real turn off idea for me.
Donut labs charge rates are not even close to what the theoretical rate should be with a true solid state battery. I am suspect they even have a true solid state. I think they're suspect.
so with his speculation we're looking at 2029 before mass scale rollout with that technology. That really means the Scout will not have this solid state in its first iteration.
@op
I too had issues with a rental but on three separate occasions. Much like your dilemma, I had issues with...
And then there is this? Not sure if Donut Labs is being 100% honest or if this guy isn't as smart as he professes to be but in either case the technology isn't anywhere near ready, if it is even a viable option at all.
Still waiting on anything from this campaign.
I do however have a Bronco Flag, a nice print rather than a poster, a calendar and a hammock all from Ford. I have to give them credit, they were slow as molasses during the Pandemic but at least they took care of their reservation holders.
Yeah blame someone else.
We knew it was going to get delayed because of the Volkswagen groups mismanagement. They and the entire German automotive industry have made a series of poor choices and are now being met by the consequences of those actions. People are voting with their consumer...
I actually loved that design. So modular and the adaptive non linear steering was super cool. I had a bit of trouble getting my money back from that company. Have a look for yourself and try to find a source for customer relations on the deposits. It's not easily found. They are folding
This is a bit of a concern on the long term sales model of EV's in general.
I'm not in a position to purchase any vehicle as a second car so it would become my primary transportation. E.g. it will be driven daily and a lot of miles per year, hence the harvester for me. Having a vehicle die...
And the rabbit hole forms.
And then this video leads me to supercritical Co2.
a couple of keywords like rare earth processing and the next thing you know we are on to a chain of crazy technological questions that few people ask. Wait a second here. I seem to recall I've been told...
here's a YT video about that recovery process.
Now explain how this is going to make money and be environmentally friendly? Am I missing something or do I need to drink some different Kool-aid? What's your recommendation?
Ahh I found this on YT.
still a bit worried about that 8 year life span issue. Will these Scouts have a warranty period that is beyond the this? Or will it be right on the threshold of falling in or out of the warranty based on the individual user who might not be thinking they need to...
Wait a moment. Did you just say you had to have your battery replaced after eight years? Out of curiosity why. And just where is that old one going? I'm assuming a landfill.
I think it has some really well thought out design. Very pleasing to look at and I love the tactile nature of everything. Fingers crossed they pull it off without shedding too much of this.
Factory wrap is done post build at dealer location or whomever they contract with. That isn't always the best but what is good about it is that you can roll it into the financing. Versus what I did and paid out of pocket for my Bronco. Let's also acknowledge that Stealth PPF is expensive...
